The
Yes90.net BlogTatler investigating online quotes
from some of the people envolved in the 2006
Hewlett Packard spying scandal; -- "who was doing
what to who at HP" -- came across this one. "NBS
'Big Six' Wi-Fi hush-ups of 1910. Ada Mae with help
of Clarissa, snatches Wireless T&T companies
records," MORE
STORY - Ada Mae / the Privacy
Award.
Having
generated a good deal of attention around the world
of HiTech, the eye-spy news of the HP probe came
out of nowhere, mostly for the wrong reasons.
It seems
someone in the Washington, D.C. loop, has ulterior
motives as part of their program to take mind and
matter off the Iraqi war.
But whatever
the motives are, history has it that when the likes
of Ade Mae and her mother-in-law found out that
family members were being attacked by outsiders,
the two Murray, Kentucky School marms took action.
Ada Mae established the 1906,
"Teléph-on-délgreen" truth team, (her
children), to keep tabs on friends and her husbands
Wi-Fi Telephony business
associates.
If Ada Mae
was still around today, she would be happy to know
how the BlogTatler system emulates her techniques
for discovery. For example, just recently the
real-time motives of a Southern lobby group were
accidently discovered when their anti-abortionist,
anti-movie piracy activities were found to be
"Illegal" -- by a local Sunday School teacher from
Alabama.

Lo and
behold, by the twitch of a page, when the small
town teacher read in the local newspaper that
spreading God's work by splashing millions of
prayers to E-mail addresses for peace, was not only
"Illegal"
-- it was something Congress called, "SPAM." Not
only that, what put the teacher's good works into
action, was the news that repeating someone else's
prayer might be "Stealing" one's
labor.
"Thou Shall
Not Steal" -- the words promoted by both the Motion
Picture Association of America (MPAA), and
Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA),
-- worked. She started paying the 99 cents for
downloading the best of Gospel rock from iTunes,
and paid $14.00 for the movie "Passion of
Christ."
The kids
loved the ownership status. They even helped her
get permission from LookRadio, YouTube, and MySpace
before uploading their up and coming home made
remake of "Gone
With The Wind." The 4 minute movie trailer, with a
religious "Pretext" -- will be seen "FREE" -- to
help spread the gospel.

Nevertheless,
the testimony of Hewlett-Packard Chairman Patricia
Dunn, has agreed to resign her post following a
meeting of before the subcommittee about
"Pretexting,"
Like
Kentuckian, Ada Mae, Patricia, the small city girl
from Burbank, California, whose actions launched an
investigation into why and who leaked family and
business secrets to the media that resulted in a
firestorm of controversy all about spying on
friends, competitors and associates, are being
found illegal and indictable.
Pretextors,
it seems, are those Eye-spies, or private
detectives, who pretend to be someone "they ain't"
-- and legislative laws will be enacted, guarding
phone record keepers against Pretexting.
It's not
clear if our Ada Mae Award for privacy, became part
of a misguided PR blitz to show that the U.S. Civil
War, and "Capt. Billy - Clarissa Jones" legend was
real, or was it just part of the his movie of the
30s, "Gone With The
Wind."
TVInews'
Yes90 initial reports on the movie and Ada Mae, is
that her primary hobbies were not, as folklore puts
it, "spying, leaking stories, square dancing, and
that she actually loved the taste of the large
potatoes and 100 pound watermelons from her
'HotSpots' vegie aerial-gardens. The NBS Industrial
School, and the 85 acre
"Teléph-on-délgreen" -- is now the
Campus of MSU, Kentucky.
Ada Mae took
the responsibility for protecting the security of
her family. But when she asserted she had never
been unaware of just how far things had gone into
snooping on those 'people' and journalists, who had
knowledge about the secrets of the NBS "FireWire -
Watermelon" soil-coil antenna HotSpots on
Teleph-on-delgreen.
"Former 'Big Six' board member, Rainey T. Wells,
who initiated the probe into the "FireWire -
Watermelon" leaks, assured Nathan in 1916, that he
had assumed that soil-coil antenna HotSpots on
Teleph-on-delgreen were cleared of any E.M.F. toxin
scandal.
WHAT
A MESS YOU GOT ME
INTO
But perhaps in the same way the HP "bitchy" mess
has shocked Silicon Valley, Rhett Butler was
"shocked, shocked" to find his movie wife, Scarlet
O'Hara messing around Tara, in "Gone With The
Wind." For instance, Oracle Corp. chief Larry
Ellison admitted in 2000 that he had hired private
investigators to dig through Microsoft Corp.'s
garbage for competitive intelligence.
Even Google Inc., with its famous "Don't be evil"
motto, has been harshly criticized for agreeing to
censor its Chinese website in exchange for access
to that burgeoning market.
"We all had our desks out in the open," said Norm
Glaeser, who started building calculators and
scientific instruments at HP in 1964. "It allowed
for easy discussions not only with peers but with
management."
HP established the philosophy, later codified in
the HP Way, based on trust and respect for
individuals, teamwork, the creation of useful and
important products, openness and honesty.
But the HP Way had begun to unravel with the
arrival in July 1999 of Carleton S. "Carly"
Fiorina
-- the
first outsider hired as chief executive.
Since that time, several key players in
Hewlett-Packard Co.'s leak scandal have either
resigned or were fired.
Patricia C. Dunn: Became a director in
1998, chairwoman in 2005. She was ousted Sept. 22
for initiating the boardroom leak probe that has
prompted state and federal investigations. Also
vice chairwoman of Barclays Global Investors, where
she previously served as chairwoman and CEO.
Ann O. Baskins: HP's general counsel
resigned during the Congressional hearings. As the
company's top lawyer and advisor to Dunn, Baskins'
office oversaw the leak investigation using
investigators from HP's global security team and
outside contractors. Resigned amid criticism that
she failed to protect the company's interests.
E-mails suggest she assured others of the probe's
legality.
Fiorina,
formerly an executive with AT&T and Lucent
Technologies, was the first of a charismatic,
fast-paced group of pragmatists. She was determined
to retool HP for new challenges. Observers said
Fiorina paid lip service to the HP Way but
understood little of its role in the company's
success.
She
had the bad luck to arrive just before the dot-com
bust hollowed out the burgeoning Internet economy
and sank sales of important HP products, --
long
before the recent snooping revelations.
"If you don't run a pretty tight ship here, someone
else will in China or someplace," Fiorina was
advised by one of her baiters. "I understand why
management is driven to do what it has to do, but
it doesn't make it as nice a place to work
.
The good old days are gone."
Part
02 - Ada Mae /
Rhett Butler
Part01
But rembember it was Rhett Butler who said, "How
fickle is woman."
Since then, take a lesson from "Gone With The
Wind." -- and Kentucky's past history. Ada Mae, the
wife of the NBS Wireless Telephone inventor
was known for her ruthless spying on her husband's
business partners, and RF (Radio Frequencies)
franchise affiliates' talent -- became a constant
watchdog around
Teleph-on-delgreen.
Many people around Murray "felt they were masters
of the universe," wrote Ada in her memoirs. One
person who's a Kentuckian household name that can't
be revealed at this time stated, "Nathan always
said, he was as crooked as a snake." It was like
the rules didn't apply to the snake because he was
one of the engines to Kentuckey's economy.

Questions about stock sales had emerged in 1906 as
one of the worst financial scandals of the pre
World War I era. Federal authorities were
investigating whether companies improperly changed
dates on option grants so that employees could
realize immediate profits -- in some cases,
multimillion-dollar windfalls at shareholder
expense.
At least 30 Silicon valley companies, including
Apple Computer Inc., are the subjects of federal
investigations, and two former executives of
Brocade Communications Systems Inc. have been
charged with securities fraud.
Despite its internal turmoil, HP seemed to still be
above crass ethical lapses.
"Now you have the granddaddy of them all, HP, whose
name raises an image of being pure as the driven
snow, being in this mess," said Chuck House,
science policy and societal impact director for
semiconductor giant Intel Corp. A former HP
engineering executive, House is coauthor of a
forthcoming book on the company.
"It will be damaging to the industry for a long
time," he said.

Meanwhile,
back in time, Scarlett: [pleads with Rhett as
he is about to leave to join the Confederate
Army] Oh, Rhett! Please, don't go! You can't
leave me! Please! I'll never forgive you!
Rhett Butler: I'm not asking you to forgive me.
I'll never understand or forgive myself. And if a
bullet gets me, so help me, I'll laugh at myself
for being an idiot. There's one thing I do know...
and that is that I love you, Scarlett. In spite of
you and me and the whole silly world going to
pieces around us, I love you. Because we're alike.
Bad lots, both of us. Selfish and shrewd. But able
to look things in the eyes as we call them by their
right names.
Scarlett: [struggles] Don't hold me like
that!
Rhett Butler: [holds her tighter] Scarlett!
Look at me! I've loved you more than I've ever
loved any woman and I've waited for you longer than
I've ever waited for any woman.
[kisses her forhead]
Scarlett: Rhett, Rhett... Rhett, if you go, where
shall I go? What shall I do?
Rhett Butler: Frankly, my dear, I don't give a
damn. CLICK
