KudoCredits: Korean Airlines Offers Exceptional
Service
-
Korean
Airlines in existence for about two decades opened
their Las Vegas division in September 2006.
According to Moon Cheol Kang, the station manager
for Las Vegas operations, this is a much needed
service for the Chinese community and others here
in Las Vegas.
The
newly revised Boeing 777 has 260 economy seats and
a business class, as well as a premium class. The
premium class has a newly designed seat that
reclines into a bed.
It
also has the latest audio-visual technology
available today. The flight to Korea is 12 hours
and there are three flights a week from Las Vegas
and six per week from Los Angeles
International.
Until
then, keep your visions positive and positive
people around you and, above all, know that God is
there for you.

People Rally
at 'National Night Out' - On Tuesday, there was
no lack of support from the Las Vegas community for
"National Night Out" and especially in the downtown
area around 13th and Fremont where the event took
place. There was definitely camaraderie between the
community and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police
Department in working to make our streets safer.
The event encourages communities to come together
during one evening a year in a display of unity
against street and other crimes.
Neighbor-to-neighbor networking and entertainment
fill the evenings.

Elvis
opened the show. Some of the dignitaries who
appeared at the function were Deputy Chief Gary
Schofield, Captain Wil Minor and Sgt. Damion
Walburn of LVMPD, and our illustrious Mayor Oscar
Goodman. There was also a fine performance by Allen
Fawcett, who you may remember from Dick Clark's
"Putting on the Hits."
As always, Sonny Charles and Sweet Louie of the
Checkmates were in support of the event, as well as
master mystifier Dixie Dooley and song-stylist
Karen Denise.
This event would not be possible without the help
of Boulevard Beats, that provided the sound and
music; the Fremont Mini Mart, where the event was
hosted; and co-sponsor South Cove Apartments, along
with Jimmy Gathrite, who has always assisted in
presenting quality entertainment, such as the young
rap artists G-Rite.

Vince
Neil of Motley Crue, along with football great
Warren Moon and actor-comedian Tom Arnold, enjoyed
the sights on the Las Vegas Strip, but ended up at
the Fremont Street Experience. Earlier, these
celebrities had judged the Hooters Pageant held at
the Planet Hollywood Theatre of the Performing Arts
recently.
In
talking with Warren Moon about his career and life,
he attributes his success to God. "My success
started from my family values. God was part of our
life, and God always comes first," said Moon.
Tom
Arnold, who reports that he has been sober quite a
few years now, says he thanks God &emdash; or as he
calls it, his Higher Power &emdash; for staying
sober.
Incidentally,
Vince Neil has his own Tequila brand, and last week
he was seen at the Salsa Cantina at the Forum Shops
promoting the new drink.

The
Players Toast Awards, hosted by Ice T and his wife,
Coco, is an awards show honoring those individuals
who are not heralded by society but have moved up
the ladder, shall we say, in legitimate business.
This is the first year the event takes place at the
Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles and will be taped
for television.
This
year's fourth annual Players Toast Awards will
honor Hugh Hefner and boxing promoter Don King,
along with other celebrities. Special honoree is
Glodean White, wife of the late singer Barry White.
The awards are given in conjunction with raising
money for nonprofit charities.
"It's
all about giving back to the community, and we felt
taping this show for television will be perfect at
the Playboy Mansion," said Michael "MC" Carter,
founder of the awards
show.
