"A Role
That She Seemed Destined to Land. Her
image building background helped make
Melody Jensen the choice to head Troy
Cory-Stubblefield's movie project," say
those around
her.
In
her Movie Producer debut, will VRA
TelePlay's ambassador to Hollywood end up
running the road show for the State of
Kentucky
too?
Melody was just a
teenager when she donned a pom pom skirt
and beehive hairdo to become a
cheerleader. At Brigham Young University
she was casted as a member of the popular
"Cougarette," troupe, -- the half-time
perfoming group for athletic events.
As a student in
Provo, Utah, she emphased being yourself,
no matter if you were the soloist, or just
one of many in a dance routine. Under her
leadership, the Cougarettes went on to
become a half-time, cult classic Jazz
Team. The team not only became a tradition
at Brigham Young, but at other schools as
well.
"Melody developed
an attitude of persistence and a winning
attitude at an early age as she never gave
up trying to make a difference in the
world," says Melody's mother, El Marie
Gunnell. It was the one for all family
attitude, her passion for life and the
people around her -- that has made her
into the remarkable person she is today."
She assisted her
mother with the Cotillion-debutante
program and with Classique Finishing and
Modeling School. "She really reached out
to touch the lives of many girls, through
our self improvement program for the
locals," continued El Marie.
BACK
TO SHOW BIZ AND THE ROAD SHOW
Within a decade
after her "Jazz Team" experience, Melody
had worked her way back into the business
she loves -- this time negotiating
big-budget deals for VRA TelePlay Pictures
and NBS100.com's $100 Milliion dollar
Wireless Telephone movie
project.
It's that sort of
determination that Troy Cory is counting
on as Melody oversees the making of the
"Wireless Telephone and The Secret
Keepers", the story about Nathan B.
Stubblefield, the inventor of the Wireless
Telephone. The subject matter are the
efforts played out by the modern day Smart
Daaf team of thinkers -- that are out to
collect a $27Billiion Dollar debt owed by
the FCC.
The Internet's
Smart90.com, Soulfind.com and
LookRadio.com video pioneers faces
skepticism from potential media partners,
tough competition from established players
and the weight of expectations that comes
with being major streaming video partner
with Google and
Yahoo.
"That's what's so
great about today: People are just
understanding what the Internet and movies
are all about," said
Melody.
NBS100s' filing of
the Federal Forms for the $27Billiion
request got off to a rocky start. It's
filing was launched late because of Form
problems, and some FCC members were just
getting on board after the resignation of
Michael Powel, the former FCC chairman.
For example, it
wasn't until April 26th, 2005 -- that the
new FCC chairman, Kevin J. Martin --
admitted that the total amount received by
the FCC since 1995 was $26.8 billion +
another $18 Billion will be coming in from
- 2006-2010 frequency sales.
FOR
MORE FCC STORY about the sale of
wireless telephone
frequencies.
If anyone is
prepared to handle the pressure, it's
Melody, say people who know
her.
A Bringham Young
University-trained business woman who's
respected in New York, New Jersey and
Hollywood, Melody has handled big-budget
imaging deals for Melody has been an image
consultant for AT&T, Sony, Nabisco,
Sandoz, McCalls, Allied Pfizer, Merke
Sharpe and Dohme, Tiffany and Company,
just to name a few.
"But there are a
few more companies I'm proud of", adds
Melody, "and they include Richo, Stetsons,
M&M Mars, Joe Wieder Corp.,
Hewlett-Packard, Warner Lambert , Country
Clubs of America, Weichert Real Estate,
Schlott Real Estate, 21 Century Real
Estate, Goldman and Sachs, Kidder and
Peabody, Prudential Insurance, and Hoffman
La Roche". At 5 feet 6 (and even taller in
her high-heel shoes), Melody is athletic
and competitive, and that shows on the
grueling cycle rides she leads in the
Santa Cruz Mountains.
THE
SIDE SHOW OF BUSINESS
"You'd be riding
for four hours, and climbing the last
2,000 feet, there she comes pushing ahead
from behind to get everybody to increase
the pace," said Troy Cory, head of NBS100,
and the Primary producer of the $100
Milliion movie project. "She attacks and
attacks and attacks. She's someone who
keeps pushing until she gets done what she
needs to get done." The working titles for
the Hollywood feature includes: 'The
$27Billion Movie,' 'The Secret Keeper', '
Firewire and Watermelons,' 'The Wireless
Telephone and the Smart Daaf Boys,'
'Clarissa, the woman, and her Compass, and
'The Wireless Telephone, AND ITS INVISIBLE
KILLER RADIO
WAVES.'
Working with
NBS100, VRA TelePlay and her own
production firm, MJ Production, she's got
plenty to do. Number one, to create
the right Image for the movie, Melody must
decide on a "catchy" title. Also, the
company wants Melody to expand
Stubblefield's "Radio Boy," DVD
documentary into a successful streaming
movie shown daily on VRAtv.com,
LookRadio.com and China's Xingtv.com.
The idea: Compile video clips into
an enormous searchable database to educate
the user about the history of the
Internet, NB Stubblefield, and the
Wireless Telephone. Doing so, will extend
the opportunities that will come from the
WiFi, NBS100 wireless telephone, VoIP,
RFID business, and will show users how to
profit from it, -- "NBS100, and the
'Secret Keepers', first and
foremost".
"To do that," says
Melody, the Wireless Telephone, invented
in Kentucky needs to speak Hollywood's
language. Although she worked in the film
industry for only a short time, Melody is
fluent in its particular kind of
deal-speak -- a skill that comes in very
handy when trying to reconcile the demands
of content owners with the computer
engineers surrounding her at
Smart90.com.
"She's hugely
valuable," says attorney, Charles Portz,
head of the NBS100 Legal Media Panel.
"It's like having an American company in
China, and she's the one who speaks
Chinese."
Bridging the gap
between Hollywood, Washington and Kentucky
is a rapidly growing job description as
the combining of Hollywood movies, DVDs,
WiFi, cosmetics vitimin sprays, wireless
cemeteries, and the Internet changes the
way people consume entertainment. It's not
an easy task, given the different cultures
of the technology and the entertainment
industries.
Other Internet
companies, like NBS100.com and
Soulfind.com are trying to graft glitzy
Hollywood sensibilities onto their
button-down high-tech cultures. America
Online, for example, merged with Time
Warner Inc. in 2001 and is working closely
with its parent company on creating new
Web-only video content. Yahoo Inc. is led
by former Warner Bros. head Terry Semel,
and former ABC Entertainment Television
Group Chairman Lloyd Braun is steering
Yahoo Media Group as it explores the
future of digital media creation and
distribution.
Melody Jensen will
take a different tact: It promotes from
within. Melody had worked as a lecturer
and trainer and appreciated expert on the
subject of image building for major
corporations, magazines, television,
radio, colleges, universities, and beauty
pagents.
Melody served on
the Board of Advisors for the Atrium Club
in New York City on 57th street, owned by
Country Clubs of America, did standing
only Image seminars in Dallas, Texas.
Consequently, Melody is viewed inside Troy
Cory less as an outsider from Hollywood
than as a seasoned movie producer
executive who tries to balance the
interests of VRA TelePlay Picture users on
the Internet with the demands of content
owners.
In her image
building and training seminars she
utilized her unique cutting edge
relationship, team building profiling
system called Image Profile that was
developed for her by a leading Dean of
Psychologists of a major University. It
has been tested by thousands for over 25
years in her seminars on Emotional IQ and
Discover Your Winning Image, What do Men
and Women really
want?
She can pull the
Prada and leather boots out of her closet
for meetings with studio chiefs, but she
favors working from her home-office
relaxed headquarters in Newport Beach,
Calif. And she can hold her own when
talking technical specifications,
understanding it just well enough to make
the film director and creative executives
feel
comfortable.
"She understands
the technology better than she gives
herself credit for," says, Troy Cory, the
grandson of Nathan B. Stubblefield, who
started the project over 30 years ago,
while at Pepperdine University.
Melody caught the
show-business Road Show bug
early.
WATERMELON
AND FIREWIRE WIFI
Mist
We can now re-play
the beginnings of FireWire, (ground
energy) and the use of watermelons used as
a source of energy forward.
Using the
watermelons grown on Nathan B.
Stubblefield's 86 acre farm, now the
campus of Murray State University, it was
his electrolitic coils placed inside a
large red watermelon, with masses of water
concentrates, buried in the earth during
demonstrations, that helped him explain
how ground energy, extracted from the
earth, was needed to help send his
Wireless Radio Telephone voice
replications, through the atmosphere via
the coil antenna.
Jackie Jensen, the
bright-eyed teenage daughter of Melody,
duplicates the 1902 demonstrations by
simply spraying a couple of squirts of
Melody's MJ Signature WIFI Wireless Spray,
into the air. "With the help of background
lighting," says Jackie, "you can see how
the force of energy from watermelon
juices, can send particles through space.
MJ Signature WIFI Wireless Spray Mist is a
new vitamine-mineral product of
MJ
Enterprises created exclusive for
MJ Signature
Collections,
and the WiFi Movie
project." WIFI
Spray Mist is a mixture of watermelon
particles, and nitrogen forced into a
small hand-held spray container. Melody
adds that, "the spray container, replacing
bottles, like Nathan's wireless telephone
is replacing the use of land-lines, and
the electric razor has replaced the razor
blade."
