entry for best film, by filmmaker, James Toback, features
Joey Lauren Adams, a Harvard professor, Adrian Grenier as a
Harvard University basketball player in money trouble, who
is conned by his shaddy girlfriend, Sarah Michelle Gellar,
(playing a rif on her "Cruel Intentions" role) -- to throw a
basketball game for money.

The film has a couple of subplots,
one about the mob, another about two shaddy FBI agents,
including a weird performance by actor Eric Stoltz, whe has
a stormy affair with Joey, that includes a typical Toback
picture bizare drug trip segment -- that makes a Toback
movie.

The performances, especialy by Joey
Adams and the relative newcommer, Grenier are excellent and
the story is weird enough to keep you fascinated for the
full 99 minutes. Not for all tastes due to its subject
matter but a excellent exciting film.

breweries in Germany, and 800 in Bavaria alone &endash; more

Ayinger Oktober

This small brewery near the Alps has been
family-owned and operated since 1878. Their Maerzen is a bit
lighter than other traditinal Oktoberfest brews. The Maerzen
beer was and is brewed in March to be ready for the
September and October festivities.

The Aying ( pronounced eye-ing) brewery is located
only 15 miles away from Munich. Founded in 1878 it has
maintained its excellence being named "One of the Top Ten
Breweries in the World" for many years in the prestigious
World Beer Championships. Ayinger beers are characterized by
their delicious balanced maltiness. Unlike the mass-market
brewers, Ayinger maintains its own malting and even grows a
significant portion of the barley malt themselves.
