101- 2011- Emmys TV-Show Winners - Was it A TV-ShowBiz Event, or was it a MovieActor Event - minus the box office?
••• The September 18th - 2011 event had everyone wondering . . . were they auditioning future Academy award winners at Sunday's 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards presentation? Or was the show a preview of next year's Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Oscar Event.
•• TV show greats all the way from "The Dave Letterman Show," and "Jay Leno" to "60 Minutes," and "20/20" didn't exactly make the winners list, did they?
••• In fact, primetime TV-shows and their television stars were not even mentioned.
• The Reasons?

••• Perhaps it has to do with the sheer physicality of the busines . . . no Movie actors, no Box office, no ticket sales . . . then no TV show awards!
• Television programing --
seems to be all about movie look-alikes, and a "Blacklist." Movie Actors & Actresses vs TV Performers? . . . "Why pay . . . when you can see it "free" . . . as a "mini-series" or a "Movie of the Week!"

• 101-114 Actor Cliff Robinson Dies - 88. Blacklisted By Industry For Whistleblowing..
•••It was in 1977, that TV star Cliff Robertson's Show Biz Career took an unexpected twist. It was right after he received an IRS form for "miscellaneous income" that indicated that Columbia Pictures had paid him $10,000 the previous year.
••• Robertson, however, hadn't done any work for Columbia that year and had not received $10,000 from the studio.
••• After asking his accountant to look into it, Robertson learned that a check for $10,000 had been made out to him and had been cashed at a bank in Beverly Hills. The endorsed check, bearing Robertson's forged signature, had been processed and paid out in American Express travelers' checks to the president of Columbia Studios, David Begelman.
••• After consulting his attorney, Robertson notified the local police. But after months of inactivity, he took the advice of Arizona congressman Morris K. Udall, whom he had supported in the 1976 Democratic presidential primaries, and contacted the FBI.
••• "I was simply looking out for No. 1," Robertson told People magazine in 1983.
••• "I wasn't trying to be Don Quixote. If I hadn't done what the law required, which was to give evidence to the authorities, I would have been a party to a crime."
••• The ensuing Begelman embezzlement scandal, which came to symbolize Hollywood corruption, was chronicled in David McClintick's 1982 bestseller "Indecent Exposure: A True Story of Hollywood and Wall Street."
••• In March 1978, Begelman was charged with grand theft and three counts of forgery: for forging the names of Robertson, director Martin Ritt and restaurateur Pierre Groleau on checks written in the amounts of $10,000, $5,000 and $25,000 respectively.
••• Three months later, Begelman was fined $5,000 and placed on three years' probation. The judge, who directed Begelman to continue the psychiatric treatment he had recently begun, also accepted Begelman's offer to make a documentary on the dangers of "angel dust" (PCP) as a public service.
••• Begelman, whose grand-theft conviction was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor in 1979, was hired later that year to head MGM's motion picture division, and he later became a producer. He committed suicide in 1995.
••• For his part in exposing the embezzlement, Robertson said, he was blackballed in Hollywood for 3 1/2 years.
••• "I broke the unwritten commandment: Thou shalt never confront a major mogul on corruption," he told The Times in 1998. "Suddenly, the phone stopped ringing."
••• Robertson said his Hollywood exile ended in 1981 when director Douglas Trumbull cast him in a role in "Brainstorm," a thriller released in 1983 starring Christopher Walken and Natalie Wood.
••• Robertson later appeared with Jacqueline Bisset and Rob Lowe in the comedy-drama "Class," played Hugh Hefner in Bob Fosse's "Star 80" and joined the cast of TV's "Falcon Crest."
••• He also launched a long run as the commercial spokesman for AT&T.

101-IcahnQuitsMGMdeal. Carl Icahn ends fight to seize control of MGM. Under the agreement, the corporate raider will sell 44.2 million shares and both sides will drop pending litigation against each other.
••• Carl Icahn has given up on his long and costly attempt to capture a Hollywood lion.
••• Ending a three-year battle that included a trio of lawsuits and tender offers, and nearly $25 million in legal costs for the shareholders of the Santa Monica studio, the corporate raider has reached a settlement with Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. to sell almost all of his 33% stake in the company.
••• Analysts said the agreement was positive for Lions Gate because it would allow management to focus resources and investors' attention on the company's core business.
••• "It wouldn't have been my first choice to see them lay out capital for this, but it's probably the best conclusion we could have hoped for, given the situation," said Marla Backer, an analyst at Hudson Square Research.
••• Doug Creutz, a vice president at Cowen Group, said the deal probably would drag down Lions Gate's stock in the short term.
••• "Why would an investor buy at $7.50 if he can get it from Icahn at $7?" he asked. "Once that is done, the stock can go back to trading on its fundamentals."
••• With Icahn out of the way, the studio will focus on drawing investors' attention to its upcoming film slate, led by the first adaptation of the bestselling novels in the "Hunger Games" series that will be released in March. The studio is hoping to spawn a new franchise with four movies based on the books as it seeks to turn around its underperforming run of movies that most recently included the money-losing flop "Conan the Barbarian. •- The same question was directed to Troy Cory-Stubblefield, the grandson of Nathan B. Stubblefield, in 2004. It was Troy's grandfather who created the NBS Wireless Telephone®™© Organization, invented WiFi-187, and the Wireless Telephone®™© - in 1898 to 1908 respectfully.
•- Troy, said he thought the payment was fulfilling. Bernice, Dexter and Martin Luther King, III were the children of a great creative man who died for a cause. That purpose was made in America full of Marks recorded and registered with the USPTO, and the Librarry of Congres. During the Luther Kings family court proceedings in 2004, it was very timely, as to why I had been maintaining my Stubblefield estate for over 30 years. "Why should the King kids be paid in cash? It was the metephor our NBS WiTEL Financial Trust team was looking for."
•- Not only was it the year when the King family won the rights to their father's intellectual property rights, it was the same year when the FCC had auctioned of the NBS EMW spectrums for $Billions. It was also the year when the FTC was getting prepared to introduce their Red Flags Rule that would criminalize ID theft, just enacted last years.
•-Not only was Martin Luther King the father of 3 children, he was the father of a system that enhances human rights for all citizens of the U.S.A.,He created the excellence for all of the Americans that wished to convert themselves into a seamless new word for its citizens, "USians."
As for the Smart-DAAF Boys --
it was the SmartPhone they created. Our tviNews crew will be on hand at the big King event to help produce a few iMovie out-takes.
•-The Dedication of the Memorial at the National Mall in Washington, DC will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011.
•- Troy says, "I appreciated the court decision giving the King family title to their father's Marks. That was also the same year we mailed out our first Invoices to the folks that were infringing on our Wireless Telephone®™© Marks."
•- Troy explained that that the $800,000 in CASH dollars that has befallen on the children of King, is something that should happen to "all family folk that stick together."
•- The screen-play; "The Wireless Telephone®™© - the Movie" -- was authored by Donna Tunno, and Troy. The story-line is based on the Smart-DAAF Boys, Stubblefield, Marconi, Ambros Flemming, and Tesla. The 4 Volume set, was co-authored by Troy and his wife, Josie Cory.

102-MadeInAmerica-Goods vs Services.
•- According to a recent China Expo 2000 report, the 'Made in America' service mark is true and correct if 'Made in U.S.A' is added to goods. If it has the U.S.A. tag, about 88.5% of U.S. purchases in 2010 -- were American-made products and services.
•- How can this be, considering that many of the toys, electronics, housewares, shoes and other goods we use daily come from CHINA?
• Goods, Products, and Services . . .
and the NBS Wireless Telephone®™© --

•- The biggest money-makers, in the U.S. comes from the sales of Goods, Products, and Services. Out of the three words -- the word "Services" is number One.
•- Services provided to those users of the U.S. invention, the Wireless Telephone®™©, helps to account for about two-thirds of U.S. spending, and earnings that are mainly produced, and sold locally, in your own city-neighborhood. Your paper boy, beauty shop, dry cleaner, accountant, mechanic and banks.
•- Then there's groceries and gasoline. Most of the food Americans eat is produced domestically. And although the U.S. imports about half of its petroleum, China is not a major supplier. About 90% of all gasoline sold in the U.S. is refined in the United States. "The vast majority of goods and services sold in the United States is produced here."
•- Foreign-made products are most prevalent among so-called durable goods, which are big-ticket items such as cars, furniture and appliances. About one-third of all durable goods Americans purchased last year were made abroad; 12% came from China.
• Goods and services from China --
accounted for only 2.7% of U.S. personal consumption spending in 2010.
FOR MORE CLICK-China Owns $1.15 Trillion in U.S. Treasury Bonds.
•- But even merchandise made in China can contribute to the U.S. economy. Consider a pair of Chinese-made sneakers that retails in the U.S. for $70. Most of what a consumer pays goes to cover trucking costs, rent for the store where the shoes are sold, profits for shareholders of the U.S. retailer, as well as the cost of marketing the brand. Included in these costs are the salaries, wages and benefits paid to the U.S. workers who staff these operations.

106-TVCopyrightLawTargeted"Bad" -- An arcane but critical copyright law is under attack by a key government agency.
•- The U.S. Copyright Office, which advises Congress on copyright issues, is proposing that lawmakers phase out the cable and satellite statutory licenses in the Copyright Act, calling it "an artifact of an earlier era."
•- The so-called compulsory license, established in 1976, allows cable and satellite operators to distribute broadcast television signals in return for paying a one-size-fits-all copyright fee to the Copyright Royalty Tribunal (CRT). The CRT then distributes the fees to copyright holders such as Hollywood studios and sports leagues and local television stations. Each year, the CRT collects tens of millions of dollars in fees that it distributes to rights holders.
•- For example, if a Los Angeles TV station is carried by a multichannel video programming distributor (MVPD) outside the Southern California area, that MVPD pays a fee to the CRT. If the distant signal portion of the act was gone, the MVPD would go to the individual suppliers of the programing to negotiate an agreement, a much more costly and tedious process.
•- One company watching this closely will be Tribune, the parent of the Los Angeles Times and owner of WGN, a local TV station that is carried nationally by MVPDs and hence would be most affected by any change to the distant signal part of the act.
•- The Copyright Office suggested that after the Distant Signal rules were gutted, Congress could then consider how to gradually eliminate the local rules. More Story @ SmartBriefs 106-s90 • Legal

• 106 The NBS WirelessTelephone.Org Challenges USPTO Ruling.

•••••• The Politics of Washington D.C. has rarely seen a SmartDaafBoys.com photo or NBS documentary it didn't like. Ever since Nathan B. Stubblefield bombarded music and voices into the air around and over the Potomac River in 1902, the users of today's smartphone have been most willing to put up with his WiMax187 cellphone towers, and paying the $90.00 per month phone bill. Even with the massive on-line traffic jam vista that go along with a Google smartphone, searching PhoneNumber.com for NBS100.com's latest SinTrends.com News, doesn't seem to bother the User . . . yet." CLICK FOR FOR MORE ABOUT The German T-mobile /aTT WiTEL Deal

• But that was before the American 100-year-old media company -
-2011-WiTelMonth108w.jpg came forward with it's $21-Billion US dollars in charges to its TeleCom users, and its plan to file its September 2010, USPTO Applications; the $-Billion NBS, "Wireless Telephone®™©" TradeMark upgrade, and Patent pending status for it's unique WiTEL Global Stubbyte ID Theft System.
• Based on the newly activated FTC's Red Flags
Anti-ID theft Rules -- as of June, 2010, "the NBS Wireless Telephone®™© will become the $-Billion iconic ServiceMark Organization which people worldwide will want to be part of -- because of its "separate and distinct" WiFi-187 coolness," says "MARK" Anderson, the CEO of the PSI group. The short name for the 104-year-old "company" and its U.S. trademark is WiTEL®™©. The global ®™ www names are: WiTel.com, WiMax187.com, and WirelessTelephone.Org. All are ICANN registries.
••• The by-product, "the ABCees" of WiTEL, (compona elements, and effects) created by the arts and science established the distinct and separate components of today's Wireless Telephone®™© -- have long dominated the thoughts and actions of many American companies. Bill Gates, and Paul Allen of Microsoft; Steve Jobs of Apple; and Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google are a few of those Americans who earned $Billions. But that has started to change. China has Baidu.com, and Germany has Google.de.
• Imagine, explains Troy Cory-Stubblefiield -- "the USPTO" finally telephoned."
PatenTOfficeLogo108w.jpgnbstubblefieldPofM-108w.jpg••• The unexpected "generic" move took place when they set the 20th day of January for a telephonic meeting with the principals of the WirelessTelephoneOrg. Their intentions? "To explain the reasons, as to why they should, or should not decline the granting of our "104-year-old Wireless Telephone®™© trademark and logo."
• During the course of the telephonic meeting --
"it was quite obvious I wasn't talking to WITEL achievers like, Steve Jobs or Larry Page of Apple or Google," said Troy. Each one of the three USPTO examining attorneys, Aneeta Jordan, John Lincoski, and Nicholas A. Coleman, expressed their desires to take away the art and science, and monetary authority the Wireless Telephone®™© TradeMark provided NBS.
••• The existing 104-year-old NBS TradeMark could become extinct, only if and when . . . by enacting their "generic phraseology theory." Anderson explains their theory would in essence -- "jeopardize NBS's current $21-Billions of Dollars in revenue receivables, by USPTO's name seizure."
• Were they exceeding their USPTO authority? --
••• "We believe, they were" said Charles Portz, the lead attorney for the WirelessTelephoneOrg ®™©. "Not only does their assertion of authority go well beyond any authority provided by Congress, but the USPTO theory would jeopardize NBS WirelessTelephoneOrg's collections of over $21-Billion in revenue.
/Imagespeople/%23NBSvsFCCportz108w.jpg• Part Two - 106NBS-More02ChallengesUSPTO /
"Defending the Source-Identifier Demonstrations, and ServiceMark creations from 1892 to 2011, is easy, it's all about both History & Fees.
••• "But let's not become to generous!" says Charles Portz, the WirelessTelephoneOrg's lead counsel. "We are confident our Trademark will be validated, and if it isn't -- we are prepared to defend our contentions in any forum.
•• A negative decision could, and would completely destroy the separate distinct art, and science by U.S. innovators, and the loss of the trademark "Wireless Telephone" owned by the Wireless Telephone Organization, (WirelessTelephone.Org) -- since 1902, would create an uncertainty, and weakness within the U.S. communications, iPhone, and iPhone, CellPhone industry, and doubt in the minds of existing iPhone, and/or CellPhone Users." ••• The NBS Wireless Telephone®™© organization, founded in Murray, Kentucky, doesn't manufacture the present-day Wireless Telephone®™© . . . "BUT DOES MAKE the iPhone and CellPhones of today WORK," says Troy Cory-Stubblefield.
••• As chief executive of the NBS WiTEL®™© organization, Troy Cory-Stubblefield closely watches over the way the effects and elements of his NBS WiTEL®™© organization are used and paid for by Telco providers, and users.
••• Underlining each and every Wireless Telephone®™© sold today . . . is a NBS WiTEL®™© service mark utilized by iPhone, and Cellphone provider/users. Charging high-tech batteries by its NBS EMW induction system, or being assigned a WiTEL®™© phone number to connect each WiTEL®™© user together are just a couple of the elements. The NBS Wireless Telephone®™© was invented and developed at Teléph-on-délgreen Industrial School, Murray, Kentucky, commencing in 1892.
••• The once upon a time Kentucky industrial school . . . is once again star-crossed. But this time, with a happy ending. Murray, Kentucky touts itself as the birthplace of the Wireless Telephone®™©, and with ample reason. Taking a throwback to 1907, the Nathan B. Stubblefield Industrial School was renamed to Teléph-on-délgreen, and again several decades later to emerge at same location as Murray State University.
••• Still a humbling sense of history so deep-seated that residents often rattle off dates: 1892, 1898, 1902, then 1908. That year symbolizes the granting of all of the Service Marks needed for Murray's monopoly of the Wireless Telephone®™©. 1910, was the year NBS' Teléph-on-délgreen WiTel construction began in a big way. The years 1910 through 1914 also marks the time of great change in American RF WiTEL®™© industry. The managerial side of industry was growing and American corporations were reorganizing and becoming more efficient with the help of the U.S. government,.
••• 1914, the NBSWireless Telephone®™© manufacturing ends, and one-way listening devices Radios, begins. With the enachment of Government regulatory RF seizures. Teléph-on-délgreen's NBS WiTel®™© EMW etherwave pipeline is replaced with a new word -- "RF," and "RADIO." (see Mann-Elkins Act of 1910, and the 1913 "Kingsbury Commitment).
••• The years 1907, 1929, and 2008 are all asscociated with the great depressions, followed by years of growth of the fabled Murray State University, NBS WiTEL®™©, AT&T, GE, and now -- the free for all Internet user.
••• No mater how you look at it, many obserers believe it's just a matter of time before lawmakers step in to decide once and for all who calls the shots for the "freebie" EMWs provided by the 1907 Wireless Telephone®™© service marks. Will the winner be the Telco operator, online users, or the rules of laws set forth in writting to protect service mark owners?

102- The SmartPhone, Speedollars, and "QR" System - USING TeleKey Speedollars, and Quick Response codes is easy. Is it true that the founding fathers of the U.S.A. promoted freedom of the Press to help sell goods, products and services. "Yes," says Troy Cory, CEO of the NBS Wireless Telephone®™© organization. The main reasons for FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski's success is . . . . "there are more, spectrums, WiTEL phone numbers, $peedollar$, and of course . . . the Internet and Google's New "Wallet "QR" System."
••• With the smartphone camera and app, you simply scan your numbered Wireless Telephone®™© unit to turn on your QR code to unlock the information it offers.
••• The QR code not only reads ISBN codes to charge your Credit Card Speedollar account, but a special new type of square bar codes, commonly known as quick response, or QR, codes, are sprouting up everywhere -- on billboards, in store displays, on packaging and in newspaper and magazine ads.
••• The TeleKey Speedollars Signet Credit Card system was invented in the mid-1960s. The "QR" technology was nvented in Japan in 1994. It's has been just recently, that the QR technology has gained traction among U.S. retailers and other companies as an innovative way to reach consumers. Once scanned with a smartphone or tablet camera, the codes prompt your device to open a Web page, play a video or even place a call.
••• Code maker Scanbuy, which tracks figures for QR code scans, said the number had shot up more than 1,600% in the last year and a half to about 2 million a month.
••• But many ads with QRs have little or no explanation of how to scan them or how the codes work.
••• So what do you do when you see one of these newfangled squares that appear to be a cross between abstract art and Rorschach tests?
••• First, you need to have a smartphone or a tablet equipped with a camera. It also has to have a code-reading app.
••• Newer models of Android and BlackBerry phones come with an app pre-installed. IPhone, iPad and other smartphone and tablet owners can download one of the many apps available free at the Apple App Store, the Android Market, BlackBerry App World or other app stores online. • Since 1967, NBS WiTEL has been with it.
NBS first commercial Speedollars TeleKey venture was its Signet Credit Card system," says Josie Cory, publisher/editor of NBS-TVI Publishing. "NBS' post-1958 TeleKey number system was combined with Western Union's Telex numbered network, utilizing Siemens' Telex machinery to transfer funds."
"CASHLESS SOCIETY"- "GOOGLE'S WALLET -"SPEED$"
TroyCoryChinaLogo108w.jpg••• As for NBS WiTEL, with its"www.speedollars.com" -- and the "Web Users Guild," (WUG4.com) in tow, the Credit Card Industry is now all about trying to find a balance between the "Big Five" Telecoms; the "freebie" USERs of Apple.com, Google.com, connecting online with WiTEL TeleKey phone numbers assigned by AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular to their Users.
• Troy's latest venture into the world of credit cards is --
the
"WUG4 WiTEL®™© Inversion Speedollar Billing Process."
Wug4com108w.jpg••• Troy Cory-Stubblefield, CEO of NBS WiTEL, says, "it's the fine balance of financing deals over the Internet, without breaking Federal Law, (RedFlags rules for ID theft). How long can both Apple, and Google continue to provide all of those wonderful benefits -- without evading the public's right to privacy?
••• Google recently reported that by 2014, it expects purchases made on Wireless Telephone®™© devices, (WiTELphone, Android smartphone, CellphoneS, iPhoneS, Mobil Devices, etc.) -- will be done by Near-Field-Communications (NFC). The radio technology will allow WiTELphones to talk to credit card terminals wirelessly. PatenTOfficeLogo108w.jpg
• Remember When We Carried Plastic and Paper?
••• With the new SmartPhones NFC technology, the revenue from WiTELphone ownersip, will help quadruple the use of credit cards speedollar transactions, to nearly $630 billion. Visa and MasterCard process about $6 trillion worth of credit card transactions annually.
• The FTC's - Red Flags Rule
••• Because of the nature of the Web Engine confidentiality, "we believe the shopping experience hasn't yet been transformed by technology," said Mark Anderson of the PSI organization, pacificsunrise.org. With the storing of over a $Billion dollars worth of NBS WiTEL Intellectual Property Rights "Phone Numbers, and Credit Information," -- iContent has become a FCC - FTC Privacy- Red Flags Rule issue.
••• "Therefore," Anderson continues, "our monthly billing process to each member of the "Big6 Telcoms" @ $5.00 per month per each TeleKey phone number assigned to their users -- has been maintained in a very strict confidential manner, controlled by Federal Law.
••• Google's first phone to be offered to the U.S. consumer, is suitably called the "Wallet." The Wallet will be the $200 Nexus S 4G from Sprint. Though only a few SmartPhones are on the market utilizing NFC capabilities, phone makers and observers expect that to change quickly as "WiTEL Speedollar" payments catch on. NFC-enabled phones are rumored to be in development by Apple, HTC and Motorola. A number of Nokia handsets have had the capability for some time.
• The incredible transforming speed used by --
"NBS WiTEL to change "itself" from its 1907 form into a "$Billion WiTEL TeleKey Phone# Industry" -- underscores why regulation in Washington has become such a NBS WiTEL paradise-lost.
••• The tactics we use in our NBS TeleKey licensing agreements, involves over 3 million users of the "Wireless Telephones," (iPhones, Cell Phones, etc.) -- now in U.S.A. circulation - and over 1.5 Billion, globally.
••• At some point we're going to say, "Remember the days when only paper and plastic was in our pocket?" For now, though, NFC-enabled SmartPhones Speedollars will largely be aimed at credit- and debit-type transactions that many people are accustomed to making at supermarkets and drug stores.
••• By next year, more than half of new SmartPhones assigned a SmartTeleKey number should have NFC chips built in. Big WiTELphone makers, including Nokia Corp., Research in Motion Ltd. and reportedly Apple Inc., are preparing to roll out new handsets that will allow consumers to pay for groceries, subway passes and restaurant meals by simply waiving their SmartPhone TeleKey number over a digital sensor.
"That's Why Wireless Telephones®™© Are So Handy."
••• Google reported that its Wallet system would work at more than 120,000 MasterCard "PayPass" locations around the U.S. The system, developed with payment processor First Data Corp. and payment-terminal maker VeriFone Systems Inc., will initially be rolled out at stores including Subway, Macy's, Walgreens, American Eagle and Toys R Us.

106 The German T-Mobile - AT&T Deal . The AT&T Inc. announced Sunday it would buy T-Mobile USA in a cash and stock deal worth $39 billion. The German T-Mobile - AT&T Deal would combine two of the largest U.S. wireless providers and build a telecommunications behemoth that would tower over Verizon Wireless, the other leading cellular network.
••• The merger would combine AT&T's 95.5 million wireless subscribers with another 33.7 million from T-Mobile, a division of the German communications conglomerate Deutsche Telekom.  With close to 130 million subscribers on a wireless system that would combine the vast national networks of both companies, the resulting union would far outstrip Verizon and its 94.1 million customers.
••• AT&T suggested that increased competition resulting from the deal could benefit consumers but did not explicitly say the plan would mean lower prices for its customers. CLICK FOR FOR MORE ABOUT The WiTEL Process
As for the 106 The German T-Mobile - AT&T Deal .
•• "This transaction represents a major commitment to strengthen and expand critical infrastructure for our nation's future," AT&T Chief Executive Randall Stephenson said in a statement.•
••• AT&T highlighted the efficiency savings it would garner from a merger, given that both companies use similar cellular technology -- as opposed to a different model used by Verizon -- and both are planning to take similar steps toward the next generation of faster 4G networks.
••• Part of AT&T's gambit has to do with the steep rise in the use of data services by consumers with sophisticated smart phones.  With many more users adopting video-ready, Internet-connected phones such as Apple's iPhone and the many Google-powered Android devices, demand for wireless bandwidth among consumers is quickly increasing, and the industry has been struggling to stay ahead of that demand.
••• AT&T said data traffic on its wireless network had grown 8,000% over the last four years.
••• "Because AT&T has led the U.S. in smart phones, tablets and e-readers -- and as a result, mobile broadband -- it requires additional spectrum before new spectrum will become available."
••• Critics quickly warned about the perils of conglomeration, saying federal regulators should scrutinize the deal carefully lest it actually lead to less market flexibility.••• "Don't believe the hype: There is nothing about having less competition that will benefit wireless consumers," said S. Derek Turner, research director at media industry watchdog Free Press, in a statement.
••• "A market this concentrated -- where the top four companies already control 90% of the business, and two of them want to merge -- means nothing but higher prices and fewer choices, as the newly engorged AT&T and Verizon exert even more control over the wireless Internet." / CLICK FOR MORE German T-mobile - AT&T USA 106-S90 tviNews

• 106 VoIP sues Google over 'stealing' of trade secrets
••• VoIP Inc., sued Google Inc., alleging misappropriation of trade secrets involving patented "click to call" technology. •••
••• In late 2006 Google introduced "click to call" which enables a person to place a telephone call over the Internet by clicking on a link, according to the complaint filed I in the New York Supreme Court.
••• In September 2005, Los Angeles-based VoIP unit VoiceOne Communications agreed to provide "click to call" technology to Google, VoIP said.
••• In January 2007, Google said it was terminating the agreement, citing a purported unauthorized disclosure that identified Google as a VoiceOne Customer, according to the lawsuit.
A similar suit brought in July 2009 in Los Angeles Superior Court was dismissed without prejudice within five months. •••
••• This isn't the first communications-related suit brought against the search engine company, says the NBS Wireless Telephone Org. In June 2010, Frontier Communications, a provider of phone, Internet and satellite TV services, sued over Google Voice, a service that allows users to use one number to connect to their multiple phones. Frontier accused Google of patent infringement on its inventions. That case is still pendingi n the District Court of Delaware.

sarahpalin-vogue108w.jpg106-Palin USPTO Trademark Request Rejected. Why? "Sarah Palin's T-Parties" / "The Bristol Dance Step"
•••  The former Alaska governor Sarah Palin's bid to trademark both her name and that of her daughter Bristol ran into trouble at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) because the the application forms were not signed, government records show.

•••  "Everybody's Name is sort of their brand, and once it gets associated with goods or services, then it functions as a trademark," says Seattle lawyer Marshall J. Nelson. Once a name is trademarked, it gives the holder additional remedies to recover profits and damages if someone uses the name inappropriately.

••• The new unit creates a seventh major division at the bank reporting directly to Chief Executive Brian Moynihan, an indication that the largest U.S. mortgage servicer is attempting to be more aggressive in resolving its problem loan portfolio.
••• Analysts said the move is a signal that major U.S. mortgage lenders have not yet turned the corner on dealing with the problem home loans on their books.

Is the USPTO issuing Patents that have not been tested as a reality? or maybe . . the USPTO is there to issue Patents to anyone for any unknown reason? or as Apple explains it, is the USPTO issuing Patents that are not valid?
The U.S. Supreme Court will consider making some patens more vulnerable, (like i4i - "eye4eye" vs Microsoft) -- to legal challenge, by agreeing to hear Microsoft Corp.'s appeal like in the "i4i" case that forced changes in ("Microsoft's") -- Word software which may cost Microsoft -- $300 million in damages to "i4i."
"Microsoft is fighting the $300-Million+ verdict won by the closely held "i4i" Canadian Company -- "with vigor," says the Federal appeals court, in Tyler, Texas. Patent cases are under the jurisdiction of The U.S. District Courts.
Courts that handle cases like the ("eye4eye" vs Microsoft case) -- are said to be hard on those internet software companies that are being accused of Service Mark ®@© theft -- like Microsoft, Apple, and others like Google, and Yahoo.
It's like in the days of the early 1900s, when everyone in wired-wireless in the U.S. -- was trying to connect the world to Marconi's wireless telegraphy, and NBS's Wireless telephony systems. The world's largest software maker has support in its appeal from more than a dozen companies, including Apple Inc. and Google Inc.
Apple told the justices that the patent system "is tilting out of balance," giving disproportionate power to people who secure patents of questionable legitimacy.
Microsoft clarifies Apple's legal argument by stating that such a patent like "i4i's, should have never been issued . . . and is invalid. CLICK FOR MORE - tvinews+106+ • /

••• Since the moment I discovered N.B. Stubblefield several years ago, my job required me to surround myself with his U.S.A. Wireless Telephone®™© innovations. His NBS wired-WiTEL®™© innovation has been either in my pocket, in my vehicle, or left at home on table-top surfaces amongst my wireless PC laptop, a volume of a Smart-Daaf Boys book about the effluvia of NBS, and a stack of Invoices worth $Billions.
••• Since the moment I discovered NBS WiTEL®™©? No, not even. Before I could even call myself a user of today's WiTEL®™© iPhone, CellPhone, WiFi, or whatever you'd like to call it, I needed to know who was paying for the various software, and Service Mark ®™© fees that made the thing work. Also -- was a phone number, and antenna necessary?

He was all about protecting the service marks ®™© -- and licensing fees due to those "certain 60 year old Show Biz film related intellectual property right owners, he was representing. The proper term, Valenti would always say is, "forever, minus a day."
••• It was free enterprisers Ted Turner, and Troy Cory-Stubblefield; and educators like Dr. Molfield and Dr. Horton of Murray State University, (MSU), that helped perfect Valenti's colorful service marks Validation; ®™© are "forever, minus a day."
••• Together, it took the group along with organizations like MPPA, SAG, CITA, and even the Kentucky Colonels, only a couple of years to convince Congress and intellectual property asset owners to fully appreciate and agree that copyright terms should be limited. Valenti would always remind the Pres. Johnson White House staff, the proper term for ®™©, was, and still is, "forever, minus a day."
• Murray State University, Kentucky
WiTelGlobalcomMap108w.jpg••• The NBS WiTEL®™© organization got started, in 1902. In 1930 -- the city of Murray, Kentucky, not only dedicated a monument, and journalistic PR structure on the MSU campus, but they purposely did so . . . to carry-on, and sell the NBS WiTEL®™© valuable Service marks - "forever, minus three days." One day for "©," - day two for "™," -- and day three for "®."
Like Ted Turner, Troy Cory-Stubblefield followed the MSU pattern in Hollywood. Turner bought a million dollar film library, updated the copyrights by colorizing his MGM film product, then digitized the Classic Film product -- to create a superior earning power. NBS WiTEL®™©, headed by Troy and Josie Cory, bought Vine Street Studio and Rosemont Studios, founded VRA TelePlay Pictures, and formed the Cinema Prize Award organization.
••• As you can see, within a four-decade span, not only was a new HiTech DVD/CD lasar format born, but a new WITEL smartphone Service Marks ®™© vContent distribution system model was created by Sony of Japan -- for the Film maker.
••• Those certain trademarks owners include Hollywood's major studios, Warner Bros., MGM, Sony, Disney, Paramont, NBS WiTEL, and their producers, heirs, writers, stockholders, and members of the Motion Picture Producers Association (MPPA).
• 106-Six Dumb Ways to Kill A Deal &endash; and One Great Way to Validate
••• It has been only recently that I could comfortably sit at my desk -- and speak knowingly and intelligently back and forth into the offices in far away places, asking those AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile and Sprint executives who knew, or should have known about the; "forever, minus a day" Validation Theory.
••• Confirming "How Many WiTEL customers are users of their "™" was the easy part of Q&A sessions. So was the validating of -- "How Many of their WiTEL users are paying more than $30.00 per month for "©" fees. AT&T took the ®™© "Validation Theme" the hardest. Paying $5.00 to $10.00 per month as a recurring licensing fee for utilizing the service mark ®™© owned by JAVA, Microsoft, and NBS WiTEL for the use of their ®™© WiTEL, might be the best solution, say legal experts. • CLICK FOR MORE INFO: (Infringing on existing intellectual property rights, wireless phone numbers).
• Q&A - Rober Roche. CITA leading to the best way -- to Validate ®™©
••• I usually feel the same cinematic magic resaoning of Valenti, and Turner when I'm personally speaking via WiTEL®™© -- to the educators, and authors of wireless literature like: Robert Roche, of the CITA, Prof. Bob Lochte of MSU, and to author, Troy Cory-Stubblefield.
••• My first Question to both - Robert Roche, and Prof Bob Lochte, of Murray State U, and to Troy Cory, the grandson of N.B. Stubblefield -- went something like this:
••• Hi, Mr. Roche, it's always a pleasure speaking with you, your quote on this topic is needed for educational purposes.
••• Question 1. Technologically speaking, would you say, "the only components and elements needed to make a "Wireless Telephone" would be:
••• (1) - a Microphone - "to talk"; • (2) - an Earphone - "to listen"; • (3) - an Antenna - "to transmit and receive voice, music and message"; • (4) - a Battery - "to energize the trans-receiver apparatus," and • (5) - a Switch, Switchboard or finger component - "to dial phone numbers."
NBSPatent02AutoDraw108w.jpg••• Answer: Certainly the first four items are components of a wireless phone -- though wireless-enabled laptops or netbooks are also wireless devices, which may or may not necessarily include a microphone (though you can often acquire such accessories).
••• Wireless devices -- feature phones, or other wireless-enabled devices, such as wireless-enabled laptops, PDAs, netbooks, tablets, and smartphones -- have effectively put the power of voice and data communications in the hands of millions of users in the U.S. and billions of people around the world.  These devices have brought the Internet to people, rather than places (in other words, they have given people mobile Internet access).
••• The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has reported that there were an estimated 4.6 billion wireless subscriptions around the world as of the end of 2009. CLICK FOR MORE INFO: At that point in time, the U.S. had 285.6 million active wireless subscriptions (based on CTIA's measurements). /Imagespeople/CTIA-logo108w.jpg••• Now, not every one of those subscriptions -- in the world or in the U.S. -- reflects a single, unique individual. Some folks have two or more devices capable of being simultaneously active (such as a cellphone and a wireless-enabled laptop).
••• The Pew Internet & American Life Project has measured how people use and think about their wireless devices in a number of reports, looking at both adults and teens. CLICK FOR MORE PEW INFO:

• 102 Larry Page, the CEO of Google Reorganizes its Top Ranks

••• SAN FRANCISCO, April 1011 -- Larry Page, who returned as Google's chief executive officer (CEO) this 17 week of 2011, has completed a major reorganization of the management team as part of his attempt to streamline decision-making at the Internet giant, U.S. media reported on Friday.
••• Page, the 38-year-old co-founder of Google with Sergy Brin, has been trying to run the company in the spirit Google had as a start-up between 1998 and 2001, when he was its founding CEO before handing the role to Eric Schmidt, who now assumes the role of executive chairman.
••• • Page promoted six executives in charge of some of Google's most important divisions, who will report to the new CEO directly, The Wall Street Journal said in a report.
••• Four executives were promoted to senior vice presidents, including YouTube head Salar Kamangar, mobile-device software Android chief Andy Rubin, Chrome Web browser and operating system head Sundar Pichai and Vic Gundotra, who is in charge of Google's social-networking initiatives.
••• Susan Wojcicki and Alan Eustace, two current senior vice presidents, will become heads of ads and Web search, a person familiar with the matter was quoted as saying.
••• Google has said that the change of CEO was aimed at streamlining decision-making and creating clearer lines of responsibility and accountability at the top of the company.
••• With the latest management shuffle after Page took charge of Google's day-to-day operations, the promoted executives will be able to act more autonomously and won't have to turn to the company's powerful operating committee on every decision, according to a report by the Los Angeles Times.
••• The reorganization puts Page firmly in charge of Google and its performance in much the same way Steve Jobs runs Apple, the newspaper noted. • CLICK FOR MORE Larry Page 108 People Section. / CLICK FOR MORE Larry Page 108-S90 tviNews

• The Word EPONYMOUS.

••• The game of poker is truly a game of skill and in todays society, thanks to television coverage and all those celebrities indulging in the game, it is a household word.
••• Legend has it, that poker dates back to 900 BC in China when Mu-Tsung was said to have played a form of '' domino cards''.   It has also been said that poker evovled in the 1400's as a European game.  However, Poker in America started in Mississippi on riverboats and was a compliment to three card Monti , which was dealt with a 20 card deck that only contained aces, kings, queens, jacks and10's.
••• The big step in the evolution of poker was in Neveda where it was declared illegal in 1910.  In California the Attorney General declared it a game of skill, thus anti-gambling laws couldn't stop the masses from playing poker. Then, in 1931 poker was declared a legal game in Nevada.
••• What's not to like with a chef from Italy, a diversed staff, and an all new State-of-the-Art Grand Poker Ballroom.  It's an impressive and exciting place to visit. A place where younever know who's playing poker or for that matter Pai Chi. • CLICK FOR MORE STORY-111

<111-TroyCSnewslogo.jpg 112s - China-USwinsMediaWar | China's limits on entertainment imports violate free trade practices, WTO rules
The ruling is seen as a win for U.S. industries working to distribute films, music and books in China. Still, trade experts say not to expect big changes.
••
Workers make repairs to the display at a Beijing movie theater near a model of a character from the "Transformers" films. Wednesday's World Trade Organization ruling could help open the Chinese market to more U.S. movies. (Ng Han Guan / Associated Press)
The decision was seen as one of the toughest against China by the WTO since it joined the trade body in 2001 and agreed to give equal treatment for domestic and foreign companies. And it comes as the U.S. continues to face a massive trade deficit with China -- $103 billion through June of this year -- an issue that the Obama administration has yet to tackle head on but which looms large in the coming months.
TroyCoryChinaLogo108w.jpgAugust 13, 2009 / Washington. The LAtimes reported that . . . in deciding that China broke international trade rules by restricting imports of movies, music and books, the World Trade Organization handed the U.S. a victory in a contentious issue that has long rankled purveyors of copyrighted media products.
••
But it doesn't mean Hollywood or Silicon Valley will be cashing in any time soon.
••
The ruling, issued Wednesday by a WTO panel in Geneva, called on China to stop requiring foreign media suppliers to go through the costly process of distributing goods through Chinese state-owned entities. It also urged China to allow foreign companies to sell music over the Internet, a potentially huge opportunity for companies such as Apple Inc., with its iTunes. China has the largest number of Internet users, but piracy online and in the streets is rampant.
••
Although China has complied with past WTO rulings against it, analysts say Beijing could appeal the latest decision, which could drag out the case for many more months. The complaint was first brought by the U.S. in spring 2007. • CLICK FOR MORE STORY-112
